Tour Itinerary
Day One: Saturday, October 17
- 7:30 AM: Depart Pensacola, FL.
- 8:30 AM: Guest pickup in Mary Esther, FL.
- Mid-Morning: Arrive at Falling Waters State Park in Chipley, FL, to enjoy a boxed sandwich lunch and see the state's highest waterfall plummet into a massive sinkhole.
- Afternoon: Travel to Colquitt, GA, to experience the beloved and interactive Swamp Gravy Folklife Play, Georgia's Official Folk Life Play, performed at the historic Cotton Hall Theater.
- Evening: Journey to Eufaula, AL to check into your hotel. Dinner will be at a local Eufaula restaurant.
Day Two: Sunday, October 18
- Morning: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast at the hotel, then depart for Plains, GA.
- Plains Visit: Tour Jimmy Carter’s Boyhood Farm in nearby Archery, gaining a unique glimpse into the rural upbringing of the 39th U.S. President.
- Afternoon: Travel to Andersonville, GA, for a moving Live Civil War History Enactment. Lunch is on your own in the Andersonville area.
- Late Afternoon: Visit the profound National POW Museum and former prison site.
- Return: Depart Andersonville for the return trip to Mary Esther and Pensacola.
